OUR STORY
Ashton’s Parlor began in a home kitchen, where I learned early that food is both craft and language. Raised by a mother who taught my sisters and me to cook with care and intention, I spent countless hours experimenting with flavor—moving effortlessly between the familiar and the unexpected, from classic chocolate to rosewater and pistachio. Those early moments shaped my understanding of dessert as something layered, thoughtful, and expressive.
Over time, I began reinterpreting family soul food recipes passed down through generations—cornbread, banana pudding, and other flavors of home—transforming them into ice creams that honor tradition while elevating it. As my palate expanded through international exposure, so did the scope of my work, allowing me to blend global influences with deeply rooted heritage.
What began as a private ritual soon became communal. While in college, I shared my ice cream with my church community, using the proceeds to support my education. The response confirmed what I had long believed: when made with intention, dessert can carry memory, elegance, and meaning.
In 2022, after graduating and encountering the uncertainty of the job market, I chose to return to what had always grounded me—the kitchen. That decision marked the beginning of Ashton’s Parlor: a modern expression of hospitality, craftsmanship, and indulgence, created for those who value beauty, ritual, and the pleasure of something made well.
What you see now is a brand shaped by lineage, intention, and care. Ashton’s Parlor—a love letter to my family—is expressed through ice cream that honors tradition while embracing imagination. Each flavor is crafted as an invitation to slow down, gather, and indulge in something meaningful, where heritage meets modern elegance and every bite tells a story.
